The Valley Pour

Temecula Barrel Tasting 2026

Saturday, January 31st and Sunday February 1st

Go "Behind the Curtain" this Weekend Get ready to go "behind the curtain" for a weekend of discovery as Barrel Tasting Weekend returns to Temecula Valley Wine Country! This isn't your typical tasting room experience; it’s an exclusive, self-guided adventure where more than 30 wineries open their private cellars to the public. You’ll have the rare opportunity to taste wines still aging in the barrel—sampling the "future" of the valley long before these bottles ever reach a shelf.

Plan Your Adventure The weekend is designed to be explored at your own pace between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., whether you choose to join us for a single day or make it a full-weekend getaway.

  • Saturday Check-in: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Europa Village

  • Sunday Check-in: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Cougar Vineyard & Winery

While we ask you to select your preferred stops ahead of time to help our hosts prepare, your route remains flexible as you move through the vines.

Tickets & Tasting Tips There are two ways to enjoy the festivities: the Winery Pass, which includes wine samples and a commemorative logo glass, and a Designated Driver ticket for those who want to focus on the gourmet pairings and cellar tours.

Most guests find that visiting four to six wineries creates the perfect, relaxed afternoon. As you explore, keep an eye out for event-only specials and early access to future releases—it’s the best time to snag a deal on a bottle you love.

Pricing:

  • Winery Pass: $89 plus a $3 fee (per day)

  • Designated Driver: $49 (per day)

Hey Kids! Get Involved and Volunteer for Temecula You Innovators

The Youth Innovators Program is a high school student-run committee in Temecula that plans and hosts community-based programs to benefit City youth. Every Wednesday throughout the school year, the students meet at the Temecula Valley Entrepreneur’s Exchange Building from 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm.

The program is designed as an internship with the Economic Development/Community Services Department, teaching students leadership and management skills as they create project outlines for their events. The Youth Innovators also have an opportunity to network with various City officials, organizations, and professionals, allowing them to build professional relationships that will carry them through high school and beyond.
